Richard Dreyfuss wins Twitter today.
I’m still in shock over the news. Well, Ben Affleck has gotten more respectable over the years. (And I’ve liked him since his Kevin Smith days.) And he does have a good chin for the role…
But of all the projects he’s attached to, the one I really, really want to come to fruition is his directing of The Stand. Lord knows we could all use a proper, Parker Lewis-free adaptation of that great book. I fear his being a major part of the Justice League franchise will take up the time needed to direct an epic story like that.
Star Wars Fight posters

It’s the Thrilla in Dagobah!*
*Yeah, that makes no sense given that no actual fighting took place there. The phrase just makes me chuckle.
"I’m declaring war on anyone who sells drugs to the community."
"But Black Dynamite, *I* sell drugs to the community."
This week’s weight loss reward arrived in yesterday’s post: the very funny Black Dynamite on Blu Ray. Really, with its intentionally bad, “vintage” presentation, this isn’t the kind of movie that benefits from the highest definition picture and sound, but who cares. It was a steal at only $8 at Amazon.
I really wish I knew about the existence of this limited edition print when it first went on sale. This was maybe my favorite part of Pacific Rim.
To give Jessica’s ample bosom an unusual bounce, her supervising animator Russell Hall reversed the natural up-down movements of her breasts as she walked: they bounce up when a real woman’s breasts bounce down and vice versa.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
The more you know!
Okay, I realize that my usual theatergoing costume is sometimes out of place, so I upgraded it to Mecha-Gandalf.
