My Twitter celeb BFF list continues to grow, this time with the all-around awesome Penn Jillette. I feel kinda bad for phrasing my compliment in a negative way (I find Dawkins, Maher, and other “evangelical atheists”* to be extremely condescending), but Penn really does hear out and respect those with viewpoints contrary to his own. For that and much more, he’s one of my favorite people ever.
So, everybody go out and listen to his new podcast Penn’s Sunday School. It’s a fun and worthy successor to his late, great radio show. (Monkey Tuesday is back!)
*The funniest term for them I’ve read is “Westboro atheists”.
